How LWIR came to be…

After teaching for 32 years, I am ready for my next chapter, while still working toward student success. Helping parents advocate for their children to prepare for an IEP meeting and helping students apply to high school, college, or graduate school by navigating the cumbersome and often anxiety-inducing essay writing process turned out to be the perfect fit.

Each child is an individual so developing their IEP and writing essays in personalized ways is essential.  Services are personalized to what each student/family wants or needs to help organize, create, and edit, while alleviating some of the stress that the IEP process and college application/essay writing process can create.

Providing parents and students with a safe and confidential space to tell their story and only sharing it with the people/organizations they choose.

I earned my Bachelors and Masters in Education, Early Childhood and Special Education. As a Mom and a teacher who has navigated this process with my own children and my students, as well as, their families I bring a great amount of experience and unique expertise to this process. In my career, I have worked with diverse populations and learning styles from which I have learned to meet the individual needs of each student and family.

I am very organized.  I believe that all children can be successful and parents can be empowered to help their child achieve that success.  As they get older students should be responsible for meeting timelines; however this responsibility can’t come without guidance.  I am here to help guide and together establish timelines for each student to follow…then the responsibility piece enters. The student will be given the tools; the submission of the application is theirs (and their family’s) responsibility.

Let’s see how we can work together to develop your child’s IEP or write your best essay.
